l  On December 31, the winners of 2020 CCF Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award were announced, including "Visual Representation Learning toward Object Semantic Understanding" (supervisor: Dr. Xilin Chen, Institute of Computing Technology, CAS) and “Discriminative Feature Learning and Its Application to Fine-grained Analysis” (supervisor: Prof. Yuxin Peng, Peking University).

l  On November 24, IEEE released its 2021 list of newly elevated fellows. CCF-CV member, Prof. Jingyi Yu at ShanghaiTech University was elevated for her contributions to theoretical analysis, algorithms and systems for computational photography and computer vision.

l  On October 16, the Award Ceremony of CCF-CV was held. Director of CCF-CV, Prof. Hongbin Zha at Peking University was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award. Three CCF-CV members, Assoc. Prof. Wangmeng Zuo at Harbin Institute of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Ye Yu at Hefei University of Technology, and Prof. Jinshan Pan at Nanjing University of Science & Technology, received Seeta Contribution Award.

l    On July 17, the project, “Motion Analysis of Target Objects in Visual System” led by CCF-CV member, Prof. Shengyong Chen at Tianjing University of Technology, received a First-class Award in Natural Sciences at the 2019 Zhejiang Science and Technology Award Ceremony.

l   On July 15, CCF-CV members, Prof. Xiang Bai at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Assoc. Prof. Jiwen Lu at Tsinghua University were selected as IAPR Fellows.

l   On July 14, the winners of ICML 2020 Outstanding Paper Awards were announced. The paper “Tuning-free Plug-and-Play Proximal Algorithm for Inverse Imaging Problems” directed by CCF-CV members, Prof. Ying Fu and Prof. Hua Huang was awarded. The paper was cooperated by Beijing Institute of Technology and University of Cambridge.

l   On June 19, the papers "Bridging the Gap Between Anchor-based and Anchor-free Detection via Adaptive Training Sample Selection" and "High-Performance Long-Term Tracking with Meta-Updater" were nominated for CVPR 2020, directed by CCF-CV member, Dr. Zhen Lei at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and CCF-CV Standing Committee member, Prof. Huchuan Lu at Dalian University of Technology, respectively.

l  CVPR 2020 took place virtually at June 14 to June 19. The team led by Prof. Yanyun Qu (Xiamen University) won first place in NTIRE 2020 Challenge on Image Demoireing: Methods and Results; the team led by Assoc. Prof. Qin Jin (Renmin University of China) won first place in ActivityNet Challenge-Task 2 Dense-Captioning Events in Videos.

l  On June 18, the Ministry of Education (MOE) released the list of candidates for the Special Government Allowances. Director of CCF-CV, Prof. Hongbin Zha at Peking University and CCF-CV Standing Committee member, Prof. Jianhuang Lai at Sun Yat-Sen University were slected.

l On May 30, Shaanxi Province released its preliminary list of candidates for the "Special Support Program for High-level Personnel Recruitment". CCF-CV members, Prof. Cheng Deng at Xidian University, and Dr. Xiaoqiang Lu, researcher of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, CAS, were included.

l On May 21, the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) released its 7th Awarding List of Excellent Scientific and Technological Workers. Deputy Secretary-General of CCF-CV, Prof. Lifang Wu at Beijing University of Technology received the honor.

l The winners of the 2019 Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Award were announced on May 19. CCF-CV member, Prof. Yugang Jiang at Fudan University received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Young Scientific Workers.

l On May 11, China Association for Science and Technology released the preliminary list of candidates for the 2nd National Award for Excellence in Innovation. CCF-CV member, Prof. Xinbo Gao at Xidian University was included.

l The winners of the 2019 Hebei Science & Technology Award were announced on April 23. The project joined by CCF-CV member, Assoc. Prof. Zhenbing Zhao at North China Electric Power University, won the S&T Progress Award.

l The 2019 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards were presented at the Guangdong Science and Technology Innovation Conferencen on March 25. CCF-CV member, Prof. Yong Xu at South China University of Technology received the second class prize of S&T Progress Award.

l On March 8, the 2020 list of Women in AI was jointly announced by Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Tsinghua-Chinese Academy of Engineering's Joint Research Center for Knowledge and Intelligence, and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Tsinghua University. CCF-CV member, Assoc. Prof. Si Liu at Beihang University was selected.

l   On January 14, Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence released its 2019 list of newly joining young scientists, including four CCF-CV members: Dr. Ruiping Wang, researcher of Institute of Computing Technology of CAS, Assoc. Prof. Jiwen Lu at Tsinghua University, Dr. Boxin Shi, researcher of Peking University, and Prof. Zhanyu Ma at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

l   On January 6, CCF released its 2019 list of Distinguished Speakers, including four CCF-CV members: Assoc. Prof. Jiwen Lu at Tsinghua University, Prof. Ke Lu at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Yuxin Peng at Peking University, and Prof. Jian Yu at Beijing Jiaotong University.
